Insulation Rebate Eligibility

You are eligible for the free ceiling insulation rebate if you:

• are a home owner-occupier - that is, you live in your own home; (a different rebate is available to those who are renting)
• don’t already have insulation or have ceiling insulation that is not effective.
• are installing insulation in an existing home. New homes or extensions to existing homes are not covered by the rebate.
• have not already received the $1600 insulation rebate.
• lodge your application for within six months of purchase/installation.
• submit a correctly completed application form.
• Arrange installation by an authorised installer using insulation that meets required specifications and standards. This differs between states so be sure to check the requirements for your area.
• are an Australian citizen (or permanent resident) over 18 years old.
